Earnings Calendar: upcoming earnings reports

Earnings reports are some of the biggest scheduled moves of the year: a stock can gap 10% or more the morning after its results. The Upcoming Earnings scanner lists every U.S. and Canadian stock with a scheduled report, so you can see what reports this week before it moves.

Sort and filter the calendar, and add the names you follow to a watchlist. After the report, the Gaps and News Catalysts scanners show how the market took it.

Questions

Where do the earnings dates come from?

From third-party data providers, based on what each company announced or is expected to announce. Companies sometimes move their date, so check the company's investor relations page before you trade on it.

Why do stocks move so much after earnings?

The results, and above all the outlook for the next quarters, change what investors expect. When the numbers differ from those expectations, the price adjusts at once, often with a gap at the next open.

Does the calendar cover Canadian stocks?

Yes. It covers stocks on the NASDAQ, NYSE and NYSE American in the U.S., and on the TSX, TSX Venture and CSE in Canada.

How often is it updated?

Every trading day, overnight after the close. New dates are added as companies announce them.
